Setting: Dorm hallway. 2 male students stand in front of a highly decorated door.

 Alex: (to Paul) Check out this door, it's so cool! I should get some more stuff for my door.

 Paul: Yeah, it is pretty cool.

 Elissa: (walking towards door) Excuse me. (enters room)

 Alex: (to Paul) Hey, she was cute!

 Paul: Yeah, but she'd never notice you.

 Alex: Why do you say that? She seemed cool enough.

 Paul: What are you talking about? She's a comp sci major. She doesn't even know guys exist yet.

 Alex: Hm, you think so?

 Paul: You know how the CS geeks are: they're always sittin' in front of a computer doing something dull. They don't even shower, let alone know how to talk to people. She's not worth your time.

 Alex: Yeah, you're probably right. I bet she's in there now watching some anime.

 Paul: I bet.

 Kristin: (walking towards the same door) S'cuse me.

 Paul: (in Kristin's direction) Aw yeah! (to Alex) Now she was good looking!

 Alex: Yeah, but she'd walk through you before she'd notice you.

 Paul: What do you mean, she looked friendly enough.

 Alex: Sure she did, that's because she's a drama major. They've got their own world they live in. It's creepy as anything.

 Paul: Oh, yeah, I've seen that. They just hang around in groups and pretend that no one else exists. It's so weird.

Setting: Inside room. Girls are talking.

 Elissa: How do I look?

 Kristin: You look marvelous dahlink! What's the special occasion?

 Elissa: Me and my boyfriend are celebrating our 2 month!

 Kristin: Excellent, you must be so excited!

 Elissa: Yeah, I am! What are your plans for tonight? Anything exciting planned?

 Kristin: No, I wish. I'm helping my friend with his economics assignment.

 Elissa: You work too hard, you should give yourself a break.

 Kristin: I know, but I like to help people out.

 Elissa: Yeah, I know. Hey-- Did you see those two guys out there? A couple of frat boys, ya know?

 Kristin: Yeah, I know. They're just trying to look cool. Like they've got a brain in their heads-- both of them combined!

Meanwhile, in the hallway--

 Paul:: I can't see how two people like that could stand each other! I bet they're in there right now either not talking to each other, or fighting like mad.

 Alex: Yeah, I hear ya. I'd go nuts if I had to live with anyone like that.

 Paul: Oh man, I forgot, I've got marching band practice in 5 minutes! I've got to go!

 Alex: Yeah, I should go too, I've got some photographs that I want to develop in the darkroom.

 Paul: See ya!
