My research is primarily in the area of human-computer interaction and computer-support for cooperative work, particularly support for the cognitive and social processes of collaborative writing and communication.

Research

Virtual Work Room

The Virtual Work Room (VWR) project has two goals: (1) to improve support for collaboration and meetings in VWRs and (2) to define and validate a set of benchmark tasks for measuring improvements in VWR systems.

Work in Preparation (PREP) Editor

The Work in Preparation (PREP) Editor provides computer support for collaborative writing. PREP supports margins in which collaborators can write (or record voice). In addition, it provides a flexible representation of differences between versions of documents.
