readings begin at 8:00PM and are free and open to the public.
Horatio Castellanos
Moya

Horatio Castellanos Moya is an exiled El Salvadorian
living in Pittsburgh as
a part of the City of Asylum program. He has written several books of
short stories and eight novels. His first, La Diáspora, won the Premio
Nacional de la Novela and his one of his latest, Senselessness, was recently been
translated into English and published by New Directions.
Matthea Harvey

Matthea Harvey is the author of three books of
poetry: Pity the Bathtub Its Forced Embrace of the Human Form (2000),
Sad Little Breathing Machine (2004) and Modern
Life (2007). She has also written and published a
children’s book, The Little General and the Giant Snowflake,
illustrated by Elizabeth Zechel. She lives in Brooklyn and teaches
poetry at Sarah Lawrence University.
G.E. Patterson

G.E. Patterson has two published collections of poetry. His first book,
Tug (1999) won the Minnesota Book award and his
second, To and From, was published in 2008. His poems have appeared in
anthologies and magazines including: Bum Rush the Page, Poetry
180, American Letters and Commentary, Fence, Five Fingers Review,
nocturnes: (re)view of the arts, Seneca Review, Open City, XcP: Cross
Cultural Poetics, and the webzine of the St. Mark's Poetry Project,
Poems and Poets. Patterson currently lives in Minnesota.
Alyce Miller

Alyce Miler is the author of two short story collections: Water,
winner of winner of the Mary McCarthy Prize, and The Nature of
Longing, which won the Flannery O'Connor Award. Her novel, Stopping
for Green Lights, was published in 1999. She also writes poetry
and essays, teaches in the English department at Indiana University,
and is a practicing attorney, specializing in animal law.
Charles D’Ambrosio

Charles D’ Ambrosio writes essays and short stories. He has published
two collections of short stories—The Point (1995) and Dead
Fish Museum (2006)—and a book of essays, Orphans (2005).
Among other distinctions, he was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award
and is currently a Rasumuson Fellow. He graduated from the Iowa
Writer’s Workshop and now lives in Portland, Oregon.
Denis Johnson

Denis Johnson is a writer of both fiction and poetry. His poem
collections include The Man Among the Seals, Inner Weather, The
Incognito Lounge and The Veil. He has also published
several books of fiction: Angels, The Stars at Noon, and Jesus’
Son. Though he was born in Munich, Germany, Denis Johnson has
lived in Tokyo, Manila and Washington. Johnson's most recent novel, Tree of Smoke, won the National
Book Award for Fiction in 2007. He currently lives in North Idaho.
