Applicants to our graduate programs apply directly to the English Department. You may apply online or, if you prefer, download the correct application form in PDF format and return it to us at the address listed below. Applicants to the MDes CPID can download an application from the
Design website.

Application deadlines are as follows:

• PhD (LCS and Rhetoric): January 15
• MDes CPID: February 1
• Academic MA: February 15
• MAPW: February 15

Applicants for the MA in LCS Rhetoric, and Professional Writing programs may apply after these deadlines and may be accepted on a rolling basis. However, MA and MAPW applicants who apply before these deadlines may be eligible for one of a small number of merit-based scholarships in addition to the usual tuition remission, while applicants who submit their materials after those deadlines will not be considered for these extra funds.

Please note that for the English PhD and MA programs, only the general GRE test is required. To submit your GRE scores, please use 2501 as the department code.
